European Week for Waste Reduction

In the frame of the weeks for waste reduction (from 17 to 28 November 2014)

UNIBS researchers have been prepared experiments about materials recycle to be realizad by the students at their laboratories.

The European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) is an initiative aiming to promote the implementation of awareness-raising actions about sustainable resource and waste management during a single week.

It encourages a wide range of audiences (public authorities, private companies, civil society as well as citizens themselves) to get involved.

The experience in Brescia will involve students (and teachers) to sensitize about the subject of the theme and the recycle. Quizzes and games with the students related to waste reduction have been organized. A competiton to realize objects by using recycled materials has been also done. The activities was financed by MIUR DD 369 del 26.6.12 - ex Legge 6/200.

This activity was realized by COSMOS-RICE researchers, that will be involved in the experiments of material recycle.

During these two weeks COSMOS-RICE project and results have been disseminated to the students, also thanks to the COSMOS-RICE brochure, and periodic table with COSMOS-RICE logo, that were provided to students. 1200 student have been involved in the activity.
